Andre van der Lingen
Attorney and Conveyancer
Andre completed his B.Proc degree while working as a judge’s secretary, where he gained valuable first-hand litigation experience. He thereafter served as a Public Prosecutor for two years, further expanding his expertise in criminal law while completing his LLB degree. Andre was admitted as a conveyancer in 2005 and has since built extensive experience in conveyancing, serving on the panels of three major banks and attending to bond registrations, property transfers and a wide range of conveyancing transactions. He is also actively involved in the marketing and transfer of residential properties and farms.
Andre has been involved in the renewable energy sector since the inception of the Renewable Energy Programme, advising farmers and developers, assisting with compliant land use and lender direct agreements, and providing guidance on renewable-energy-compliant bids and greenfields projects. He further advises citrus farmers on all aspects of production and export marketing, while also assisting landowners with water-use applications, verifications and water-use compliance matters. His work also extends to the development of B-BBEE projects with a focus on land ownership reform.
Outside of the office, Andre enjoys hang gliding and farming with Brangus cattle on his farm near Bedford.
Monique Kleynhans
Attorney & Conveyancer
Monique obtained her LLB degree from the University of South Africa in 2017 and was admitted as an attorney in 2020 and as a conveyancer in 2021. She has a passion for conveyancing and has successfully attended to more than 1,500 transfer and bond registrations throughout her career. Monique also loves combining her legal knowledge with the marketing of property, as she believes that having a lawyer both sell and transfer your property simply makes sense.
Her attention to detail, practical approach and commitment to excellent client service ensure a seamless experience from marketing to registration. Outside of the office, Monique is a proud mom to two boys and enjoys spending quality time with her family while maintaining an active lifestyle.
Lelani Smit
Attorney, Notary & Conveyancer
Lelani obtained her LLB degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and was admitted as an attorney in 2016, with right of appearance in the High Court. Practising from our Somerset East office, she has built a diverse legal practice covering both litigation and non-litigious matters. Lelani attends to a wide range of legal matters, including criminal and civil litigation, conveyancing, notarial work and property transactions.
Known for her practical approach and personal attention to every matter, Lelani is committed to guiding clients through each legal process with professionalism, care and clear communication. Her broad legal knowledge and dedication to client service allow her to provide reliable support across all aspects of her clients’ legal affairs.
Dian Kleynhans
Candidate Attorney
Dian Kleynhans obtained his LLB degree from the University of South Africa in 2021 and is currently completing his articles of clerkship. Having successfully passed all four of his admission examinations, Dian is set to be admitted as an attorney in the near future. Dian brings extensive experience in the financial services industry and has a keen interest in fiduciary services, including estate planning, the administration of deceased estates, and the registration and administration of trusts.
He also has a growing passion for general litigation and is committed to providing practical, client-focused legal solutions. Outside of the office, Dian is a devoted family man, a sports enthusiast and enjoys spending time outdoors.
Minette Bosman
Consultant Attorney
Minette Bosman obtained her LLB degree from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in 2005. She commenced her articles at Canter & Co. and was admitted as an attorney in 2007. Following her admission, she continued to practise as an attorney at Canter & Co. until the firm was incorporated into A & R Attorneys, where she remained in practice.
In 2020, she transitioned into a consultant role with A & R Attorneys, continuing to provide professional legal services across a broad spectrum of legal matters. With extensive experience in legal practice, Minette is committed to delivering professional, practical and client-focused legal solutions with integrity and diligence.
Maricia Botha
Chief Financial Officer
Maricia obtained her B.Compt degree from the University of South Africa, while working as a SAICA article clerk. She also obtained her Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting Science from Unisa and subsequently registered as AGA(SA). She has 21 years of experience as an accountant, with a proven ability to manage financial operations, improve efficiencies and support strategic business growth. Skilled in financial reporting and compliance, with a professional and results-driven approach. She is very meticulous and has an investigative nature for problem solving. Since she was responsible for performing Attorney’s Trust audits during her tenure at accounting firms, she has an in-depth knowledge of the accounting policies, rules and procedures, specific to an Attorneys firm. She is very passionate about solving intricate accounting problems to produce accurate results.
Outside of the office, she is a proud mom to a boy, enjoys family time and keeping fit by running and occasionally competing in 10km races, as well as half-marathons.
